October 11, 2011 There are openings for Recording Secretary and an E-Board Member (Metro East Region) in our Local Union. These openings are due to Brother Randy McMullen receiving a DOT position outside our Union and the retirement of David DeLeon. October 10, 2011 IBEW Local 69 has made available to our members a CareFlite Membership. In the last 60 days CareFlite has carried two employees and two family members. CareFlite carries for what insurance pays. You will not receive a bill. Twenty-seven Unions are currently partcipating in this program. To become a member click here for more information.

There will be openings at certain Service Centers for different
classifications. We do not know at this time where the
openings will be or what classifications. The members that
have been considering a move, need to have a
preference letter turned in at the service center that they currently work
at stating a desire to transfer.
The Company has stated they will try to work with the Union to allow employees to move, if they have a preference letter in. We will pass along additional information as we receive it.
July 29, 2011 We have established a Steward Training schedule that can be viewed by clicking here. This training is for ALL members and potential members. Most unit meetings are now meeting quarterly. The next group of meetings will be held in October. Please check the calendar for dates, time and locations. Remember you can always call the office or Bobby if you have any questions or concerns.

be attending college. Each scholarship will be $500!

June 30, 2011 The pay scale for Storekeeper Sr. (2) in the new contract books is incorrect. The books have the hourly wage rate currently at $28.66 and $29.35 as of 10/26/11. The correct hourly pay scale for Storekeeper Sr. (2) is currently $27.32 and $27.97 beginning 10/26/11. If there are any other mistakes please contact our office so that we can make everyone aware. All unit meetings except Dallas have been canceled for the month of July. We must have at least one unit meeting per month per the constitution. We will have our Executive Board meeting on July 11, 2011, at 4:30 p.m. due to the first Monday of July being a Holiday. We hope everyone enjoys their vacation season.
