I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend and a safe beginning to Summer. Memorial Day or Decoration Day is a Federal Holiday in the United States of America for remembering and honoring persons who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Thank you to all IBEW Local 69 veterans!
On May 23rd, IBEW Local 69 members at Fox 4 TV voted to accept the Company’s offer after about twelve months of negotiations. We learned during these negotiations that corporate greed is alive and has no shame. The contracts at WFAA-TV and Oncor are both scheduled to be renewed later this summer. Job securities, benefits, and wages are under attack by Corporate America and our Government. Workers must remain and/or become union members in the workplace or the working class you see and belong to won’t keep its class very long.
